Sustainable stands

Structures that come back, materials that can be separated, smaller freight volumes and less waste left in the hall. Design decisions rather than certificates.

Reuse

Material, freight and waste

  1. 01

    Separate the structure

Keep the structure and the surface cladding as two layers. The surface changes at every fair; the structure stays.

  2. 02

    Keep dimensions standard

Standard panel and profile sizes let the same part serve a different floor plan. Every bespoke dimension lowers the chance of reuse.

  3. 03

    Choose mechanical fixings

Screws and clips beat glue and filler. What comes apart can be separated, and what is separated can be recovered.

  4. 04

    Shrink the freight volume

Flat-packed parts mean fewer lorries. Volume, more than weight, drives the freight price and the handling on site.

  5. 05

    Keep graphics independent

Let the printed surface change without touching the structure. A new message should not require a new stand.

  6. 06

    Write the dismantle plan

How the stand comes apart and where it goes is settled at design stage. An unplanned dismantle is rushed, and rushed dismantles make waste.

Does a sustainable stand cost more?
Do you publish a carbon figure or a certificate?
Does a rental stand count as reuse?

Do you have your fair dates?

The fair name, dates, floor area and number of open sides are enough. We come back within two working days with a concept and a budget range.
