Island and Corner exhibition stands

The corner exhibition stand with two open sides we built for Ales: a rock-shaped product display unit on red carpet, illuminated brand fascias and meeting groups.

When you take an island or corner plot, the design starts with a single question: which way are the visitors coming from, and where do they walk into the stand? On an island open on four sides there is no back wall, so we build the surface you lean on; on a corner open on two sides, the face where the aisle turns becomes the shop window. We recommend the type for plots above 36 square metres with at least two sides on an aisle, and we work up to 800 square metres.

How we produce it

An island or corner stand is a layout, not a material. We choose the structure to suit the job: a custom timber build where uninterrupted surfaces and free dimensions matter, a maxima system when the calendar is tight. In both cases production happens in our own workshop in Beylikdüzü, and graphics and print are ours.

Because an island has no walls, height and branding come from above: a logo tower facing four ways, a backlit frame or a suspended ceiling element. The closed volumes are gathered in the middle. A lockable back room, kitchen and meeting room form a core, and products and reception sit around its four sides. On a corner stand the core leans against the two closed walls and the two open sides stay clear.

A week before the fair we do a trial assembly in the workshop, and on an island we take that especially seriously, because all four faces have to be finished. The build in the hall takes 3 to 6 days.

Where we have used it

Stands we have built at this scale include the Solinved stand at SolarEX 2025 in Istanbul, 110 square metres; the Cemer Kent Ekipmanları stand at FSB Cologne, 105 square metres; the Yeniler Etiket stand at Eurasia Packaging 2025, 100 square metres; and the Alfa Metal stand at ALUMINIUM 2025 in Düsseldorf, 96 square metres. Send us your floor plan; we draw the layout to your open sides and show it next to our other work.

What we pay attention to

  • Visibility: some halls require a certain share of an island's sides to remain open, so the closed walls are drawn to the hall rule in the technical file.
  • Height and rigging: hanging from the ceiling depends on the hall's permission; where rigging is not allowed the height comes from the stand's own structure.
  • Heavy products: a machine or large sample stands on its own plinth in the middle of the island, drawn at a height that lets it be seen from all four sides.
  • Lighting: the four sides get equal light, the closed core is on its own circuit, and the lighting is tested at the trial assembly.
  • Floor: a raised platform for the cable routing is usually the cleanest solution on an island.

Island and Corner: cities we have built in

We produce this type in the same workshop for fairs in Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir and the German venues and build it in the hall with our own crew; the cities we serve are listed on the locations page.

  • Freedom in material and detail
  • High visual impact

Cons

  • Longer production time
  • Costs more than system stands

Stands we have built

We have not published a project under this heading yet; these three stands from other fairs show the work of our workshop.

Frequently asked

What floor areas do you build a Island and Corner stand for?
We work in the 36-800 m² range, and 0 published projects on this site are of this type. What decides the layout is not the area but how many sides are open and what you want to show on the walls; we use the same system on a small corner stand and on an island in the middle of the hall.
How long does a Island and Corner stand take to build?
The build in the hall takes 3-6 days; the schedule of the hall matters as much as the size of the stand. Our own crew does the build, and we take the dismantle at closing too.
How does the process work for a Island and Corner stand?
We start with the floor area, the open sides and the fair date, then draw the design. Once it is approved the stand is produced in the workshop and built in the hall to the fair calendar; at closing, our crew dismantles it.
Where do you fix products on an island stand with no back wall?
On the outer faces of the closed core. Seen from outside, the walls of the back room, kitchen and meeting room become display surfaces, while heavy products stand on their own plinths in the middle.
Which side do you make the front on a corner stand?
The corner where the aisle turns. Visitors arrive from two directions, so the reception counter goes close to the corner and the product wall is drawn to read from both aisles. If you have a floor plan, tell us which corner it is.
Are there extra hall rules for an island stand?
In most halls, yes: the share of open sides, the face towards a neighbouring stand, rigging permission and height. We follow them and send the technical file to the hall management ourselves.
What should we send for a quote?
The fair name and dates, the floor area, how many sides are open and the floor plan. If you tell us which products you will show and whether you want a meeting room, the first concept is drawn around that. The quote form is here; the first concept is free and we reply within 48 hours.
