Short answer

What are the fire rules for an exhibition stand?

The rules live in each venue’s technical manual and differ from hall to hall. Three things are common. First, materials on visible surfaces must be in a flame-retardant class, which covers timber panels, fabric, carpet and decorative facings. Second, that class has to be proven with a certificate rather than a claim, and the certificate comes from the material producer. Third, escape routes, hydrant cabinets and detector heads may never be obstructed. Inspection normally happens on the last day of the build.
