Building a stand at CNR Expo Istanbul: rules, hours and handover

Short answer
How does a stand build work at CNR Expo?
CNR Expo Istanbul is in Yeşilköy, next to the airport, with 11 halls and 98,000 square metres of indoor space. The build takes place in the two- or three-day window set by the organiser, through the loading ramps behind the halls; vehicle entry is regulated by registration and time slot. The height limit is 4 to 6 metres depending on the hall, and rigging is applied for weeks before the fair. The power line is brought to the stand by CNR’s contracted supplier. From our workshop in Beylikdüzü we reach CNR in an hour and finish the build with our own crew in two days.
Hall rules
CNR Expo’s halls have different height and floor load values; the technical manual of each fair states which limit applies in which hall. The general rule: 2.5 metres on row plots, 4 to 6 metres on corner and island plots depending on the hall. Closed walls are mandatory on sides facing a neighbour and their back is left white.
Rigging is done only through the organiser’s contracted supplier; the application goes in at least three weeks before the fair together with the structural calculation. No screws go into the floor, carpet is fixed with double-sided tape and no marks are left at dismantling.
The power line to the stand comes from CNR’s contracted supplier; if the declared load is exceeded the breaker trips and the stand is dark on the morning of the fair. We list the load of screens, fridges and coffee machines separately in the declaration. The venue page and the fair calendar are reachable from our exhibition stand services page.
Build day: ramp, vehicle, time
The build window at most fairs opens two or three days before opening; for large island stands the organiser may grant a day’s early entry. Vehicles enter through the loading ramps behind the halls; each vehicle gets a plate registration and a time slot. An unregistered vehicle is not admitted to the ramp and losing the slot costs half a day.
Inside the hall, forklifts and pallet trucks are hired from the organiser’s contracted supplier; you cannot bring your own equipment in. We set the order of parts accordingly: floor and frame in the first vehicle, graphics and furniture in the second.
Dismantling starts at closing time and usually ends the same night; the hall is handed back empty the next day. Our crew is in the hall at closing time, your products and graphic panels are separated and sent to your address. The build calendar is written day by day on our design page.
The Yeşilköy advantage
CNR Expo sits next to Atatürk Airport; for visitors and exhibitors arriving from abroad it is the easiest fair venue to reach in Istanbul. The metro and E-5 links are an advantage for build vehicles too: from our workshop in Beylikdüzü we reach CNR in an hour.
That proximity means a missing or damaged part can be replaced from the workshop the same day during the build. Stands brought in from abroad do not have that flexibility; for fairs in Istanbul, local production produces fewer surprises for that reason.
We have built at CNR for Avrasya Ambalaj, WIN Eurasia, TÜRKCHEM, IDEF and Istanbul Prohunt among others; because every fair has its own manual, we read the rules afresh each time. You can explore our projects and the venue page starting from our about page.
Where is CNR Expo and how do I get there?
In Yeşilköy, Bakırköy district, next to Atatürk Airport. By metro to Yeşilköy station, by car via the E-5 Yeşilköy exit; build vehicles use the ramps behind the halls through a separate entrance.
How many days does a build at CNR take?
System and modular stands one to two days, custom timber two to four, a double-deck stand more than four. The organiser’s window sets the limit on the design.
Is there a build difference between Tüyap and CNR?
The logic of the rules is the same; hall dimensions and ramp layout differ. Tüyap in Beylikdüzü is fifteen minutes from our workshop; CNR is an hour. Both have contracted power and rigging suppliers.
