How stand design works, from brief to drawing

Short answer

What stages does stand design go through?

Stand design runs in five stages. First the brief: fair, hall, floor area, number of open sides, products, team size and how meetings will be held. Then the floor plan and concept, which settle where a visitor enters and where they stop. Third comes the 3D visual and its revisions. Fourth is the technical drawing set: plan, sections, elevations, electrical layout and print dimensions. Fifth is organiser approval, where height, rigging and party-wall rules apply.
