Stands at US trade shows: what differs

Short answer

How do US trade shows differ from European fairs?

Four things stand out. Organisation: the show appoints a general contractor who controls most services, and orders go through them. Material handling: moving freight from the dock to the booth is a separately charged service. Local labour rules apply in some cities. And measurement and power differ; drawings are set out in feet and inches, and equipment has to match the local supply.
