Exhibition stand builders in Russia

General view of the Atlas Yem stand at the fair 2024 in Moscow: a 40 sqm custom timber build.

We have taken stands to Moscow twice, and built both at Crocus Expo Center with our own crew: a 48 square metre custom timber stand for Ales in 2023 and a 40 square metre timber stand for Atlas Yem at AGROS Expo 2024. The hard part of exhibiting in Russia is not the design; it is getting the stand there intact and on time, and having someone to talk to in the hall. We write both into the contract.

What we do at fairs in Russia

The stand is produced in our workshop in Beylikdüzü, trial-assembled and light-tested there, and then loaded onto the lorry. Build and dismantling in Moscow are done by our crew, and the technical correspondence with the hall management is ours too. Graphics and print are prepared in Istanbul; we take the Russian-language copy from you and send it to print as supplied.

The Ales stand of 2023 was a 48 square metre timber build for a construction machinery company; the Atlas Yem stand at AGROS Expo 2024 was 40 square metres of timber for a livestock company. Both went up at Crocus Expo Center. The next AGROS Expo runs on 20–22 January 2027; for companies in livestock and feed we are drawing already.

Freight, customs and local support

Shipments to Russia go by road and take longer in transit than a German run, so for Moscow we pull production forward in the calendar and write the lorry’s departure date into the contract. We issue the ATA Carnet for temporary import, follow the export from Turkey and the entry into Russia, and the stand returns on the same carnet after the fair. For a January fair the winter conditions go into the schedule as well. Documents requested by the hall management are prepared in the organiser’s format, and because our crew is in the hall during build week, questions about power, rigging or loading are answered on the spot. The process is set out step by step on the exhibition logistics page.

Which stand type

Both of our Moscow stands were custom timber builds: 20–500 square metres, free dimensions, uninterrupted surfaces, 2–5 build days. For a tight calendar or a small plot we suggest the maxima system, 12–200 square metres, compact on the lorry and built in 1–3 days. On a long haul the lorry volume affects the cost, so we draw both types for the same plot and show them side by side.

What determines the price

Our quote lists the scope item by item; we take a brief before quoting, because two stands of the same size can differ a lot.

  • Floor area and the number of open sides
  • Stand type: custom timber or maxima system
  • Height, suspended ceiling and rigging needs
  • Fittings such as lighting, screens and furniture
  • Venue rules and build hours
  • Freight distance and customs

Logistics note

For installations abroad, freight, ATA Carnet and customs are handled by Akros; the stand is produced in the Istanbul workshop and shipped to the hall.

Frequently asked

When should a stand for Russia be ordered?
At least eight weeks before the fair for a custom timber stand, four weeks for a maxima system stand; for builds abroad we add a week for freight and customs.
What determines the price?
Floor area, stand type, number of open sides, height, fittings and venue rules. The quote lists the scope item by item; we take a brief before quoting.
Can we get a quote for the upcoming fairs in Russia?
Yes. The link next to each fair in the calendar opens a quote form with the fair name and dates already filled in; add the floor area and stand type and send it.
How do freight and customs to Russia work?
By road, with an ATA Carnet. We issue the carnet and follow it through both customs points; you provide the list and weight of the products on display. If your products travel on the same lorry as the stand, they go on the same carnet.
How many days does the build take in Moscow?
2–5 days for a timber stand, 1–3 days for a maxima system. We take the organiser’s build days from the technical file and plan accordingly; since the trial assembly is done in Istanbul, only the final assembly remains in the hall.
Who builds the stand, and do you have people in Russia?
The Beylikdüzü crew that produced the stand travels to Moscow and builds and dismantles it. We do not hand work to local subcontractors; the Ales and Atlas Yem stands were done the same way.
When should we start?
For Russia a comfortable schedule starts at least 8 weeks before the fair, and because the road run is longer than to Germany we finish production earlier. Send the fair name and dates, your floor area and the number of open sides through the quote form; the first concept arrives free within 48 hours.
