Exhibition stands at Çırağan Palace

Forma Makina timber event stand — Çırağan Palace, Istanbul

Çırağan Palace is not a fair hall; it is a historic event venue. A company coming here for a launch, a dealer meeting or a corporate reception wants a stand from us that does not disturb the room, goes up in a few hours and comes down without a trace when the evening ends. The 8 square metre timber event stand we built for Forma Makina here in 2025 was a job on that scale. The stand is produced in our workshop in Beylikdüzü, built on site by our own crew and dismantled at the end of the event.

Event stands at Çırağan Palace: our experience

In 2025 we built an 8 square metre timber event stand for Forma Makina. An 8 square metre custom timber build for a woodworking machinery maker; in a historic room an uninterrupted painted surface sits far better than aluminium profiles and panel joints, which is why we suggest timber for this kind of job. As on every job, the stand is finished in the workshop, goes through a trial assembly and only the assembly is done on site.

In a historic venue the deciding factors for us are the building’s conservation rules and the set-up window. Nothing is fixed to walls or floors; the stand stands on its own feet. The loading route, the set-up hour and the power points are followed from what the event organiser and the venue management give us, and we do not guess a rule we do not know. Our launch and corporate event work in general is on the showroom and events page; our fair stands in the woodworking machinery sector are on the industry page. The city’s exhibition venues and fair calendar are on our Istanbul page.

Which stand type

  • Custom timber build: an uninterrupted painted surface that sits well in a historic room; applied at 8 square metres for Forma Makina, produced in the workshop and built on site in a short time.
  • Portable stand: when a catalogue table and a back wall are enough in a reception foyer, a set one person puts up quickly.

For a larger launch area we can draw a maxima system as well, but in a palace room we usually suggest timber. Ask for a quote with the event name, date, floor area and programme; the first concept comes free within 48 hours.

How we work

Brief, first concept with a three-dimensional visual, written budget in three options, design approval, workshop production and print, trial assembly, assembly on site. The event calendar is shorter than a fair’s; we compress the steps but never skip the trial assembly, because in a palace there is no second chance. Build and dismantling by our own crew, delivery backed by a written guarantee.

Frequently asked

Do you fix anything to the walls or floors of a historic venue?
No. The stand rests on its own structure and there is no connection to walls or floors. We take the conservation rules from the venue management and draw the design to them.
How much time is needed for the build and the dismantling?
It depends on the window given by the organiser and the venue, often a few hours on the day of the event. Because the stand is finished and trial-assembled in the workshop, only the assembly remains on site and we fit inside that window.
Can we show the machine or product running at a launch?
Yes. We ask for the weight and the power requirement in the quote, draw the plinth and the cable route accordingly and settle the power point with the organiser in advance.
What should we send for a quote?
The event name and date, the size of the area allocated to you, the event programme and a layout plan if there is one. Tell us what you will show and the first concept is drawn around it; the first concept is free of charge.
