Exhibition stands at Messe Karlsruhe

For a Turkish paint or surface treatment company heading to Karlsruhe, Messe Karlsruhe is a venue where we work to the same routine as at every other German fairground: the stand is produced in our workshop in Beylikdüzü, clears customs under our name and is met at the hall gate in Rheinstetten by our own crew. It is the same path as the stands we have built in Germany for HANNOVER MESSE, FSB Cologne and bauma. The one thing that is different at a fair like PaintExpo is that the product itself is a surface. The stand must not compete with it, and we settle that in the design from the start.

Building in the Messe Karlsruhe halls: what we have learned

The technical file goes to the hall management from us, and workshop production does not start before height, rigging and power approval is back. Where we do not know a hall rule we do not guess; we ask and get the answer in writing. At German fairs our Aachen office gives local support, so for the correspondence with the hall and during build week you have a contact on the German side.

We show three of our German jobs to companies coming to Karlsruhe. The Genç Bombe 2025 Hanover exhibition stand is a 36 square metre maxima, a quick build on a mid-sized plot. The stand we built for Cemer Kent Ekipmanları at FSB Cologne is 105 square metres of timber, heavy product and free dimensions. The Gms 2025 Munich exhibition stand is a 153 square metre maxima, a system stand on a large plot.

In the paint and coatings sector, our Turkcoat / paintistanbul page for Istanbul and our European Coatings Show page for Nuremberg carry the preparation timeline for the same industry; the stands we have built are listed on the chemicals page.

Fairs at this venue

  • PaintExpo, 25–28 April 2028. Industrial coating technology; so that painted sample panels read correctly under light, the lighting is set during the lighting test in our workshop, and if a spray cabin or spray gun demonstration is planned the power and air orders go in with the technical file. Dates, preparation timeline and the fair's own questions are on the fair page.

If you are exhibiting at Messe Karlsruhe at a fair other than PaintExpo, tell us which one; we follow the hall regulations for that event separately.

Which stand type

  • Maxima system: printed panels on an aluminium grid, which gives an orderly wall for hanging sample panels; one to three days in the hall.
  • Custom timber build: uninterrupted surfaces and recessed light, for a neutral background behind a painted sample; two to five days in the hall.
  • Corner stand: on a plot with two open sides we turn the sample wall towards the aisle.

Frequently asked

How do freight and customs to Karlsruhe work?
The stand leaves the workshop as numbered parts; freight, the ATA Carnet and customs are our job. How your paint and chemical samples travel is discussed separately when quoting, because they do not always go on the same document as the stand.
Can you hang sample panels on the stand?
Yes. We ask for the panel sizes and quantities when quoting and draw the hanging layout and the lighting to match. During the trial assembly in the workshop the panels are fitted and viewed under light, so there are no surprises in the hall.
Who follows the Messe Karlsruhe hall regulations?
We do. Height limits, rigging permits and power orders can differ from fair to fair; we submit the technical file to the hall management and do not start production without written approval.
What should we send for a quote?
The fair name and dates, your floor area, the number of open sides, the hall plan if you have it and a list of the samples and equipment you will show. Send it through the quote form; we reply within 48 hours, the first concept is free and the written budget comes in three options.
