Exhibition stands at Messe Düsseldorf

General view of the Alfa Metal stand at Aluminium 2024 in Istanbul: a 60 sqm custom timber build.

For a company coming to Messe Düsseldorf from Turkey the stand itself is rarely the problem; the paperwork is. Technical file, customs, freight plan, correspondence with the hall management in German. We take all of that on together with the stand: it is produced in our workshop in Beylikdüzü, travels to Germany under ATA Carnet, our Aachen office gives local support on the German side and our own crew does the build.

Building in the Messe Düsseldorf halls: our experience

In 2024 we built a 25 square metre maxima stand for Saes at wire & Tube Düsseldorf. What the maxima system gives us at a fair abroad is speed: the aluminium profile grid and the printed panels take little room in the lorry, the customs item list stays short and the stand goes up in 1–3 days. Hall rules, build and dismantling hours, height and rigging permits all come from the organiser’s technical file; we know which document a German fair asks for and when, so you stay out of that correspondence.

On the German side we have an office in Aachen. Whether it is the lorry’s slot at the hall gate, a part that turns out missing during the build or a repair in the middle of the fair, your contact is in the same country. Our Düsseldorf page carries the city’s fair calendar and our working timeline; how the freight is planned is described on the exhibition logistics page.

Trade fairs at this venue

Three fairs at Messe Düsseldorf are in our calendar:

  • ALUMINIUM Düsseldorf, 6–8 October 2026; for profile and sheet producers we draw a sample wall that carries real weight.
  • MEDICA, 16–19 November 2026; clean surfaces and a closed meeting room matter most for medical products.
  • wire & Tube Düsseldorf, 3–7 April 2028; for wire, cable and tube our experience from the Saes stand applies directly.

Each fair page has the preparation timeline counted back from the opening. For a German fair we add freight and customs time to the calendar, which is why the ideal start is 8 weeks before the opening.

Which stand type

The maxima system is our first suggestion for work going to Düsseldorf: we use it for plots from 12 to 200 square metres, it travels light and builds in 1–3 days. For companies that want a surface and dimensions specific to their brand we produce a custom timber build in the workshop and ship it in sections; because it has already been through a trial assembly, it goes up in the hall in 2–5 days. On plots with two or three open sides the island and corner stand layout is drawn from the start. Ask for a quote with the fair name, floor area and number of open sides; the first concept comes free within 48 hours.

Frequently asked

Who handles customs and freight?
We do. The stand leaves under ATA Carnet and returns on the same carnet when the fair closes; the item list is prepared in the workshop. The freight plan is counted back from the build day of the fair and the lorry arrives at the gate in the slot given by the hall management.
Who builds the stand in Germany?
Our own crew travels from Istanbul, and our Aachen office gives local support on the German side. Dismantling is ours as well; on the closing evening we take the stand down and load it.
Can you put a heavy sample or a running machine on the stand?
Yes. We ask for the weight and dimensions in the quote, draw the structure accordingly and declare the floor load in the technical file. The power connection and any rigging request go in the same file.
Do we have to correspond with the hall management ourselves?
No. The technical file, the height permit and the power request are prepared and submitted by us. All we need from you is the plot and hall information from your participation contract.
