Is UK customs different from the EU?

Not in our process. The exit from Turkey already runs on an ATA Carnet and the entry into the UK uses the same document. We issue the carnet and follow the procedure on both sides; there is nothing for you to prepare.

When should the stand leave for London?

Earlier than for a fair inside the EU: the road is longer and there is customs at both ends. The shipping date is written into the schedule at the quote stage and production is planned back from it. For a comfortable schedule the design starts 8 weeks before the fair.

Who prepares the structural and electrical paperwork the organiser asks for?

We do. The stand plan, height approval, fire-class declaration for materials and the electrical installation details go to the organiser right after design sign-off. Production does not start until the approval is in, so nothing surprises you in the hall.

Who builds and dismantles the stand?

The crew that produces the stand in Beylikdüzü travels to London. Build-up and dismantling hours come from the organiser's and the venue's documents; we walk the stand with you the day before opening and hand it over in writing.

Turkish companies heading for a London fair usually open the conversation with UK customs, expecting the process to be different now that the country is outside the European Union. On our side it is not: the exit from Turkey already runs on an ATA Carnet, and the entry into the UK uses the same carnet. The stand is produced in our workshop in Beylikdüzü, trucked over and built in the hall by our own crew.

What we do at London fairs

Whichever venue in London you are booked into, the order of work is the same: brief, three-dimensional concept, written budget, design approval, the organiser's technical file, workshop production, trial assembly, freight, build-up, handover and dismantling. UK organisers ask for their own paperwork on stand structure, the fire class of materials and the electrical installation; we prepare and send it right after design sign-off and do not start production before the approval is in. Graphics and print come from our workshop, and the furniture and lighting travel with the stand.

Freight, customs and local support

The stand travels by truck in labelled crates; the exit from Turkey and the entry into the UK run on an ATA Carnet that we issue and follow on both sides. After the fair the dismantled stand returns to Turkey on the same carnet. Because the road to London is longer than to a fair inside the EU, we place the shipping date earlier in the schedule and confirm it in writing at the quote stage. If you want your products on the same truck we add their list to the carnet.
