Building trade fair stands

The exhibition stand we built for Solinved: a corner stand with green and white fascias, a solar panel display wall, an energy storage unit and a meeting area.

The architect or contractor who walks onto your stand at a building fair wants to pick up the product and see its section. We build the stand for exactly that: a reinforced back structure for heavy facade panels and large-format tiles, a solid frame for doors and windows that will be opened and closed all day, a meeting table wide enough to unroll a drawing. In the building sector a stand is less about drawing a nice surface and more about carrying the product properly, and that is what our workshop does.

What we do for you at building fairs

We draw the stand, produce it in our own workshop in Beylikdüzü, build it in the hall with our own crew and take it down when the fair closes. The technical file for the hall management, the graphics and print, and for fairs abroad the freight, the ATA Carnet and customs are handled by us as well. You bring your samples and your team; we walk the stand together the day before opening.

Building products are heavy and large, so the first step of the design is the load calculation. We draw the sample wall so that the substructure and the insulation layer behind the panel stay visible, because an architect looks at the detail rather than the surface. If you sell flooring, your product becomes the actual floor of the stand and visitors see it under their feet. A water connection for wet-room products or a quiet corner for acoustic products goes into the plan from the start.

Which building fairs we work at

In Turkey, Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul at Tüyap is the main meeting of the sector; its page carries the dates and a preparation timeline. In Germany our Aachen office supports BAU Munich and, on the construction machinery side, bauma: in 2025 we built the 153 square metre maxima stand for GMS at bauma Munich. For the building fairs in Dubai we work with freight and customs included. Stands we have built for building material producers are listed on our construction and building materials pages.

Which stand type for a building stand

We produce both types ourselves; the choice usually comes down to the calendar and to what goes on the walls:

  • Custom timber build: heavy sample fixings, uninterrupted surfaces and dimensions drawn for your brand; produced in the workshop, built on site in 2–5 days.
  • Maxima system: printed panels on a ready aluminium grid; built in 1–3 days, our choice when the calendar is tight.
  • Island and corner stands: on plots with two or three open sides we turn the sample wall towards the aisle.

If you are undecided we draw both for the same floor area and show them side by side.

How we work

Send us the fair name and dates, your floor area and the number of open sides; we reply within 48 hours. The first concept is free and comes with a three-dimensional visual; the written budget frame has three options and lists the scope item by item. A comfortable schedule starts 8 weeks before the fair: design approval and technical file at 6 weeks, workshop production at 4 weeks, trial assembly and lighting test in the workshop at 1 week. If you start later we first tell you what can still be done, then run an accelerated programme. The quote form opens here.

Stands we have built

We have not published a project under this heading yet; these three stands from other fairs show the work of our workshop.

Frequently asked

When should we start on a building fair stand?
Starting 8 weeks before the fair for a custom timber build, or 4 weeks before for a maxima system, gives a comfortable schedule. At busy fairs such as Turkeybuild the build hours in the hall are limited, so a stand that starts early is also built with less pressure.
Can you hang heavy facade panels and large-format tiles on the stand?
Yes. The sample wall is fixed to a steel-reinforced back structure and the panel weight is calculated in the first step of the design. Doors and windows are mounted in their own frames so they open and close; flooring products are laid as the real floor of the stand.
Who builds and dismantles the stand?
Our own crew. The stand goes through a trial assembly in the workshop before it travels to the hall. At the close of the fair we dismantle it as well; you collect your samples and leave.
What should we send for a quote?
The fair name and dates, the floor area and number of open sides, a floor plan if you have one and a list of the products you want to show. If any product is heavy, add its weight; we draw the structure to carry it. The first concept is free of charge.
