When should a stand for formnext 2026 be ordered?

Starting by 22 September 2026 for a custom timber stand, or around 20 October 2026 for a maxima system stand, gives a comfortable schedule. For later starts we first tell you what can still be done.

What should we send for a quote?

The fair name and dates (filled in from this page), your floor area and number of open sides, plus a floor plan and reference images if you have them. The first concept and a written budget frame arrive within a few working days; the concept is free of charge.

Who ships the printer and the material to Frankfurt?

Either you or we can; it can travel with the stand on the same ATA Carnet. The customs correspondence is handled under our exhibition logistics service. For powder material we agree the transport conditions beforehand.

Can we get power and ventilation for a running machine?

We open the power request with the hall management; give us the machine's power rating and ventilation need at quote stage and we show the line on the plan. For vibration-sensitive machines the floor is drawn separately.

How do height and hall rules work at Messe Frankfurt?

Height, suspended loads and fire classification need approval from the hall management; we prepare the technical file and obtain the approval, with our Aachen office supporting us on the German side.

Who builds and dismantles the stand?

Our own crew; 1–3 days for a maxima system, 2–5 for a timber stand. Our crew receives the machine on build day, and we dismantle on the closing evening as well.

formnext exhibition stands

A company at formnext has two things on its stand: a printer or sintering unit running through the fair, and the parts it produces. One needs power, ventilation and a vibration-free floor; the other needs lit showcases and a table where visitors can pick things up. We draw the stand between the two, produce it in our workshop in Beylikdüzü, move it from Istanbul to Frankfurt under an ATA Carnet and build it at Messe Frankfurt with our own crew. Our Aachen office is on site during build week.

What we do for you at formnext

We take your floor area, machine list and part samples and draw a three-dimensional concept; after approval we send the technical file to the hall management at Messe Frankfurt in German. Across 10 halls and 366,637 square metres, the hall your plot sits in decides the build day. Graphics and print are ours.

For a running machine we open the power request and, where needed, compressed air; for units that give off powder or fumes the ventilation connection is shown on the plan. The machine is separated from visitors by a glass screen and stays visible. Printed parts are small and detailed, so they go at eye level in showcases lit without shadows and on a table where they can be handled. Conversations with engineering buyers happen in front of a screen, so the seated meeting corner gets a screen and power.

Which stand type

Maxima system: 12–200 square metres, built in 1–3 days; our first suggestion at German fairs because the freight volume is small.
Custom timber build: 20–500 square metres, 2–5 days; for recessed showcases, uninterrupted surfaces and a form drawn for the brand.
Modular stand: 9–150 square metres, 1–2 days; for a single machine and a showcase wall on a small plot.

Timeline

The fair runs 17–20 November 2026. A comfortable programme starts on 22 September 2026 with the brief, concept and budget; design approval and technical file on 6 October, workshop production and print files on 20 October, trial assembly and lighting test in the workshop on 10 November, then straight onto the lorry to Frankfurt. Build in the hall during fair week, a walk-through on 16 November, dismantling on the evening of 20 November. If you come later we tell you what an accelerated programme can still deliver.
