When should a stand for IDEF 2027 be ordered?

Starting by 8 March 2027 for a custom timber stand, or around 5 April 2027 for a maxima system stand, gives a comfortable schedule. For later starts we first tell you what can still be done.

What should we send for a quote?

The fair name and dates (filled in from this page), your floor area and number of open sides, plus a floor plan and reference images if you have them. The first concept and a written budget frame arrive within a few working days; the concept is free of charge.

Can you put a heavy system or a vehicle on the stand?

Yes. We take the weight and dimensions at the quote stage and confirm the floor load limit with the hall management ourselves. The platform is produced in the workshop, and the forklift access and placement slot go into our build plan.

We want a meeting room that cannot be seen into and does not carry sound. Do you build that?

We do. On a timber stand the room is closed with full-height walls and a door, with a presentation screen and separate lighting inside. If a ceiling is needed we draw it to the hall regulation and add it to the technical file.

Who looks after the stand during the seven days?

Our crew comes to the hall on call throughout the fair; a failed light or a scratched panel is replaced the same day. With the workshop close to the fairground, spare parts are not a problem.

How does your build crew get access to the hall?

If the hall management asks for a crew access list, we prepare it and pass on the identity details. You only register your own stand staff.

The visitor on your stand at IDEF is usually a delegation: a minister or a commander in front, the procurement team behind. We draw the stand for that visit: an open display area seen from the aisle, a meeting room at the back with a door that closes and no view from outside, a reinforced platform for heavy systems. The stand is produced in our own workshop in Beylikdüzü, built at CNR Expo by our own crew and taken down at the end of the seven-day fair.

What we do for you at IDEF

The fair takes place at CNR Expo Istanbul, which has 11 halls and 98,000 square metres. At defence fairs access can be handled more strictly than elsewhere; we prepare the technical file, the electricity and rigging applications and, where asked for, the access list for the build crew. Graphics and print are ours as well; you bring your product and your team.

On a defence stand we pay attention to two things. The first is the meeting room: a room with a closing door, sound insulation and a presentation screen inside. The second is heavy product: if a vehicle, a turret or a system is going on the stand, the floor load and the platform are calculated in the first drawing and the forklift access goes into the build plan. The surfaces of a stand that stays open for seven days are chosen accordingly; corners facing the aisle get impact-resistant cladding.

Our IDEF project is not yet published on the site. From a neighbouring sector, the 60 square metre maxima stand we built for Ağaoğlu Silah in Nuremberg in 2025 gives a good idea. Which stand type

Custom timber build: 20 to 500 square metres, built in 2–5 days. The route for a closed meeting room and a heavy platform.
Double-decker stand: from 60 square metres, built in 4–8 days. Our recommendation for companies that want the meeting rooms upstairs and the whole ground floor left to the product.
Island and corner stands: from 36 square metres, on plots with open sides we put the heavy product on the face towards the aisle.

Timeline

IDEF runs from 3 to 9 May 2027. A comfortable programme starts on 8 March with the brief, the 3D visual and the budget; design approval and the technical file follow on 22 March; workshop production and print files start on 5 April; the trial assembly and lighting test at the workshop take place on 26 April. Build in the hall during fair week, the handover walk on 2 May and dismantling on the evening of 9 May.
