Defence trade fair stands
On a defence stand the product is either very large or not there at all: a vehicle, a system mock-up, a screen. We build for two needs. The first is a floor that carries the heavy item and room around it for a delegation to walk; the second is meeting rooms that cannot be seen into and do not let sound out. IDEF runs for seven days with delegation traffic across the stand all week, so doors, rooms and the service area are drawn for that.
What we do for you at defence fairs
We draw the stand, produce it in our own workshop in Beylikdüzü, build it in the hall with our own crew and dismantle it when the fair closes. The floor loading notice, the forklift and delivery slot and the power application go to the hall management from us. Graphics, print and the technical file are ours; for fairs abroad so are the stand freight, the ATA Carnet and customs. Your equipment and mock-ups arrive on their own permits, and the organiser’s display and security rules are tracked in our technical file.
On a defence stand the meeting rooms take as much space as the display. We draw them with full-height walls and a door that is not visible from the aisle; catering comes in from the back through a separate door. A tall brand wall rises from the floor so no rigging permit is needed. For a vehicle or a large system we calculate the floor loading and reinforce its footprint.
Which defence fairs we work at
In Turkey, IDEF runs at CNR Expo Istanbul on 3–9 May 2027. We know the CNR halls: in 2025 we built the 60 square metre maxima stand for Yazıcılarav at Istanbul Prohunt in the same venue. In Europe we built the Ağaoğlu Silah stand at IWA OutdoorClassics 2025 in Nuremberg; small arms manufacturers have their own firearms page here. At defence fairs abroad the stand freight, the ATA Carnet and customs are ours, and at German fairs our Aachen office gives local support.
Which stand type for a defence stand
- Island and corner stands: 36–800 square metres, built in 3–6 days. The vehicle or system in the middle, the meeting rooms at the back; the delegation walks round all four sides.
- Double-decker stand: 60–600 square metres, built in 4–8 days. Display below, meeting rooms and catering upstairs out of sight of the aisle.
- Custom timber build: 20–500 square metres, built in 2–5 days. Uninterrupted surfaces, recessed screens and a closed room from a single hand.
How we work
Fair name, dates, floor area and number of open sides; within 48 hours you get a free first concept in three dimensions and a written budget in three options, scope itemised. Start 8 weeks before the fair: design approval and technical file at 6 weeks, workshop production at 4, trial assembly and lighting test at 1. - Can you take a heavy vehicle or system onto the stand?
- Yes. Put the weight and dimensions in the brief and we calculate the floor loading, reinforce the footprint and agree the forklift route and delivery slot with the hall management. The stand floor is finished before the item arrives and our crew is in the hall for placement.
- How private are the meeting rooms?
- Full-height walls, a door out of sight of the aisle, own lighting and ventilation. Catering enters from the back through a separate door so a meeting is not interrupted.
- How many days does the build take for IDEF?
- We plan 3–6 days for an island or corner stand and 4–8 days for a double-decker; our own crew builds it. We walk the stand together the day before opening and dismantle it at the close.
- What should we send for a quote?
- Fair name and dates, floor area, number of open sides, the size and weight of the items you will show, and the number of meeting rooms you want. The first concept is free.
