Yarn trade fair stands
The buyer on a yarn stand wants to see the colour true and take the yarn in hand to look at the twist. We build the stand for that: a lit display wall that shows the cones in colour order, a wide counter where the colour cards are opened, and a closed table at the back for order and sample discussions. Under warm light ecru reads as beige, so the display lighting is chosen close to daylight and the lighting test in the workshop is done with your own cones.
What we do for you at yarn fairs
We draw the stand, produce it in our own workshop in Beylikdüzü, build it with our own crew and take it down afterwards. Graphics and print are ours; so are the technical file for the hall management, the electricity application and, for fairs abroad, the freight, ATA Carnet and customs. You bring the cones and the sample cards; we walk the stand together with the displays filled the day before opening.
The cone display is the main element. Shelf depth and spacing are drawn from the cone diameter, with separate compartments for large and small cones. The back of the display is kept light in colour so that the yarn is not affected by its background. If you will show knitted or woven samples, a hanging rail for fabric is added. For the buyer who wants to check a colour under a different light, a separate light source goes above the counter.
Which fairs we work at
Iplik Istanbul runs from 17 to 19 March 2027 at Tüyap; its page carries the dates and a preparation timeline. At the same fair in 2025 we built the 72 square metre timber stand for Karadağ İplik; the photographs are on its project page. Stands on the fabric and garment side are on our textile page. For yarn fairs abroad we work with freight and customs included; at German fairs our Aachen office supports on site.
Which stand type for a yarn stand
- Custom timber build: 20–500 square metres, built in 2–5 days; recessed displays, uninterrupted surfaces and hidden lighting come out of this type; the Karadağ İplik stand was built this way.
- Maxima system: 12–200 square metres, built in 1–3 days; display modules hang on the profile system, our choice when the calendar is tight.
- Island and corner stands: 36–800 square metres, built in 3–6 days; the display wall goes into the corner so that it faces two aisles at once.
How we work
Send the fair name and dates, your floor area and the number of open sides; we reply within 48 hours. The first concept is free, with a 3D visual; the written budget has three options, scope listed item by item. A comfortable schedule starts 8 weeks before the fair: design approval and technical file at 6 weeks, workshop production and print files at 4 weeks, trial assembly in the workshop and a lighting test with your cones at 1 week. Frequently asked
- How many cones can we show?
- It depends on the plot; the display length is drawn from the number and diameter of the cones. Tell us the number of colours and the cone size and the first concept arrives with the right number of compartments.
- Will the lighting distort the yarn colours?
- The display lighting uses a colour temperature close to daylight, and the lighting test during the trial assembly in the workshop is done with a few cones you send us. The light settings are finished before the stand travels to the hall.
- Who builds and dismantles the stand?
- Our own crew. The stand is assembled once in the workshop before it goes to Tüyap; after the fair we dismantle it. You pack the cones and the cards and leave.
- What should we send for a quote?
- The fair name and dates, the floor area, the number of open sides, a floor plan if available, the number of colours and cones you will show and the cone size. Add the number of meeting tables you need.
