Signalling trade fair stands

General view of the Tandem stand at the fair 2022 in Istanbul: a 96 sqm custom timber build.

The municipal official or contractor who comes onto a signalling stand wants to see the product working: the signal head cycling, the sign lit, the controller showing data on its screen. We build the stand for that: fixings for poles and cantilevers that respect the hall height limit, a separate circuit and recessed cable duct for every product, a screen niche for the control software, and a closed room at the back for tender discussions. The weight and height of the pole is the first question of the design; the hall height limit is cleared in the technical file.

What we do for you at signalling fairs

We draw the stand, produce it in our own workshop in Beylikdüzü, build it with our own crew and take it down afterwards. Graphics and print are ours. The technical file for the hall and, for fairs abroad, the freight, ATA Carnet and customs are ours as well; the pole height and the power need go into that technical file. You bring the products and the technical team; we walk the stand with every product lit the day before opening.

A signal pole enters the stand either on a floor plinth or anchored to the structural wall; both are drawn from its weight and height. For a junction layout we build a floor model with road markings, the full-size poles standing around it. The control cabinet sits at a height where a visitor can open the door and look inside. Circuits are separate per product; a fault on one does not switch off another.

Which fairs we work at

In Turkey the sector's fair is Intertraffic Istanbul; in 2022 we built the 96 square metre timber stand for Tandem at CNR Expo Istanbul; the photograph is on its project page. Our CNR Expo and Tüyap pages cover the build at both. For traffic fairs abroad we work with freight and customs included; at German fairs our Aachen office supports on site. Companies showing lighting and electronics may also look at our energy page.

Which stand type for a signalling stand

  • Custom timber build: 20–500 square metres, built in 2–5 days; pole anchoring, a junction model and a closed room come out of this type; the Tandem stand was built this way.
  • Maxima system: 12–200 square metres, built in 1–3 days; our choice for stands showing signs and small products without poles.
  • Island and corner stands: 36–800 square metres, built in 3–6 days; the junction model goes into the centre and the poles are spread to the four corners.

How we work

Send the fair name and dates, your floor area and the number of open sides, and the height of any pole you want to show. We reply within 48 hours; the first concept is free, with a 3D visual. The written budget has three options, scope listed item by item. A comfortable schedule starts 8 weeks before the fair; the height correspondence with the hall takes time. The quote form opens here.

Our stand types: size and on-site build time

We produce all of them in our own workshop. The size range and on-site build time come from our recorded projects; if you are undecided we draw two types for the same floor area and show them side by side.

Frequently asked

Can we erect a full-size signal pole on the stand?
It depends on the hall height limit, which we ask the hall management for in the technical file. A pole under the limit is erected on a floor plinth or anchored to the wall; one above it is shown with a shortened shaft or laid horizontally.
Can all the products run at the same time?
The power rating is calculated from the product list and declared by us in the technical file, and every product gets its own circuit. During the trial assembly in the workshop all products are connected and lit together.
Who builds and dismantles the stand?
Our own crew. The stand is assembled once in the workshop and tested with the products connected before it travels. After the fair we dismantle it; you take your products and leave.
What should we send for a quote?
The fair name and dates, the floor area, the number of open sides, a floor plan if available, and the list of products to be shown with the height and weight of the poles. If you want a junction model, say so; the floor plan is drawn from that.
