bauma exhibition stands

General view of the Gms stand at the fair 2025 in Münih: a 153 sqm maxima system build.

The visitor who walks onto your stand at bauma wants to stand next to the machine, climb into the cab and look closely at the attachment. We build the stand around the machine: a floor load declaration for heavy product, safe circulation around it, a meeting room and a proper kitchen at the back. We know this fair; in 2025 we built the 153 square metre maxima stand for Gms at Messe München. The venue has 18 halls and 200,000 square metres; if you also use the outdoor area at bauma we plan the stand in two parts.

What we do for you at bauma

We draw the stand in Beylikdüzü and send a three-dimensional visual for approval. Production is in our own workshop; the stand is assembled once in the workshop before it travels to Munich. Then the lorry: freight, the ATA Carnet and customs are ours. We handle the technical file, the power order and the floor load declaration with Messe München. Our Aachen office gives on-site support during fair week, so if anything comes up you have a German-speaking contact. Our own crew builds the stand and dismantles it on the evening of 9 April.

If your machine travels with a separate forwarder, we coordinate the hall entry slot and the crane or forklift with your forwarder. Once the machine is in position the flooring and guard rail around it are completed. Our Munich page explains how we operate in the city.

Stands we have built at this fair

The Gms 2025 Munich exhibition stand: a 153 square metre maxima, produced in Beylikdüzü and built at Messe München by our own crew. From the same sector in Moscow, the Ales 2023 Moscow exhibition stand, a 48 square metre timber build for construction machinery. Our construction and construction machinery pages list further work; we also work with the same crew at BAU Munich, the building fair in the same city.

Which stand type for bauma

  • Maxima system: the Gms stand was this type; 12–200 square metres, built in 1–3 days, suited to a build that has to move quickly around a machine.
  • Custom timber build: a reinforced platform under the machine, seamless surfaces, closed room; 20–500 square metres, 2–5 build days.
  • Double-decker stand: meetings and hospitality upstairs, the machine downstairs; above 60 square metres, 4–8 build days. We suggest it when the plot at bauma is large.

Schedule

The fair runs 3–9 April 2028. A comfortable programme: brief, first concept and budget on 7 February; design approval and technical file on 21 February; workshop production and print on 6 March; trial assembly, lighting test and dispatch on 27 March. Build in the hall during fair week, handover walk on 2 April, dismantling on the evening of 9 April. Because bauma comes round every three years and the large stands fill the build window early, we suggest starting the conversation towards the end of 2027. The quote form is here.

Frequently asked

When and where is bauma 2028?
bauma 2028 takes place 3–9 April 2028 at Messe München (Munich). Dates come from the organiser’s official site; this page is updated if they change.
When should a stand for bauma 2028 be ordered?
Starting by 7 February 2028 for a custom timber stand, or around 6 March 2028 for a maxima system stand, gives a comfortable schedule. For later starts we first tell you what can still be done.
Have you built at bauma before?
Yes; 1 of our stands are listed on this page. Each project states the year, floor area and stand type; we know the hall rules and build hours from that work.
What should we send for a quote?
The fair name and dates (filled in from this page), your floor area and number of open sides, plus a floor plan and reference images if you have them. The first concept and a written budget frame arrive within a few working days; the concept is free of charge.
Can you place a heavy construction machine on the stand?
Yes. We ask for the weight and footprint of the machine and file the floor load declaration with Messe München ourselves. Where needed we draw a reinforced platform under it; the flooring is completed once the machine is in position.
Do you build in the outdoor area as well?
We do. For the outdoor area we draw weather-resistant surfaces and an anchored structure, and we follow the venue's outdoor rules as written. The graphics follow the same language as the stand in the hall.
Is there on-site support in Germany?
There is. Our Aachen office is in Munich during fair week; German correspondence with the hall management and last-minute needs such as extra power or extra furniture are handled from there.
How many days does the build take?
A maxima stand 1–3 days, a timber build 2–5 days, a double-decker 4–8 days. Our own crew builds and follows the hall's build hours; the handover walk is done with you the day before opening.
