BAU Munich exhibition stands

General view of the Gms stand at the fair 2025 in Münih: a 153 sqm maxima system build.

For a building material manufacturer travelling from Turkey to BAU two things matter: the heavy sample has to stay on the wall, and the stand has to reach Munich without getting caught in the Christmas holidays. We plan both. The reinforced sample wall for facade panels, tiles and doors and windows is produced in our workshop in Beylikdüzü, loaded onto the lorry in December, cleared under an ATA Carnet with customs handled by us, and built at Messe München by our own crew.

What we do for you at BAU Munich

The fair takes place at Messe München, which has 18 halls and 200,000 square metres of covered space. Our Aachen office handles the German-language correspondence with the hall management, the crew access and the on-site support. The technical file, the electricity and rigging applications, the graphics and the print are ours.

On a building stand the first step of the design is the load calculation. We hang the facade panel with its substructure visible, show large-format tiles on an inclined, reinforced rack and mount doors and windows in their own frames so they open and close. If you sell flooring, your product becomes the actual floor of the stand. A meeting room with a closing door and a kitchen go into the plan for a five-day fair.

Stands we have built at this fair and in Munich

Our BAU project is not yet published on the site. In the same halls we work at bauma, the construction machinery fair; our freight and build routine for Munich comes from there. On the building material side we also build stands for Yapı – Turkeybuild in Istanbul and Big 5 Global in Dubai, and our building materials and building industry pages list the work.

Which stand type

  • Custom timber build: 20 to 500 square metres, built in 2–5 days. The route when heavy sample fixings and uninterrupted surfaces are needed.
  • Maxima system: 12 to 200 square metres, built in 1–3 days. Our choice for tight calendars and light samples; for heavy panels the reinforced wall is produced separately.
  • Island and corner stands: from 36 square metres, with the sample wall on the side facing the aisle.

Timeline

BAU Munich runs from 11 to 15 January 2027. The calendar of a January fair collides with the Christmas break, so we aim to finish production by mid-December: the brief, the 3D visual and the budget on 16 November; design approval and the technical file to Munich on 30 November; workshop production and print files on 14 December; the trial assembly and the loading of the lorry before the holidays, build in the hall in the first days of January, within the build window the venue opens. The handover walk on 10 January and dismantling on the evening of 15 January. Put your floor area and the weight of your heavy products into the quote form; the first concept is free.

Frequently asked

When and where is BAU Munich 2027?
BAU Munich 2027 takes place 11–15 January 2027 at Messe München (Munich). Dates come from the organiser’s official site; this page is updated if they change.
When should a stand for BAU Munich 2027 be ordered?
Starting by 16 November 2026 for a custom timber stand, or around 14 December 2026 for a maxima system stand, gives a comfortable schedule. For later starts we first tell you what can still be done.
What should we send for a quote?
The fair name and dates (filled in from this page), your floor area and number of open sides, plus a floor plan and reference images if you have them. The first concept and a written budget frame arrive within a few working days; the concept is free of charge.
Can you hang heavy facade panels and large-format tiles on the stand?
Yes. The sample wall is fixed to a steel-reinforced back structure and the panel weight is calculated in the first drawing. At the quote stage we ask for the weight and dimensions of your products; doors and windows are mounted in their own frames so they open and close.
Who handles the freight and customs?
We do. The stand leaves under an ATA Carnet, travels to Munich by lorry and returns to Turkey on the same carnet after the fair. We plan your heavy samples on the same lorry; their papers stay on your side, and we list together which document has to be ready when.
Does the Christmas break affect the build?
It does, which is why we finish production by mid-December and load the lorry before the holidays. The build in the hall starts in the first week of January, and our crew is in Munich that week.
Who builds the stand in Germany?
Our own crew travelling from Turkey, with on-site support from our Aachen office, which also handles the German correspondence with the hall management. A custom timber build takes 2–5 days in the hall; the day before opening we walk it together and hand it over with a written guarantee.
